Angela Bassett is an incredible actress and has been acting for several decades. But, what most people would remember the stunning African-American actress for is being the mother of Tchalla and the Queen Ramonda of Wakanda in Black Panther.
The 64 year-old actress has won a several awards for her exceptional on-screen displays but her most notable awards are two Oscars (one of the 1993 movie ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’ and the second for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in 2022).
Her recent achievement as the highest paid African-American actress came from renegotiating her appearance fee for the TV show “9-1-1”. Her new pay sits at around $450,000 per episode which makes it a record pay for black actors in network television according to Vanity Fair.
